Héloïse Roueau is a young French artist currently living in Seoul.
After graduating from the Beaux-Arts in Dijon, she worked with the American video artist John Sanborn on works commissioned
by the MOMA in New York and the National Museum of Qatar.
She has already participated in several exhibitions in France, including one of the militant and poetic artist Lydie Jean-dit-Pannel.
Today, she presents her first solo exhibition. This exhibition reflects the established questioning of her work and her incessant attraction to water.
The artist confronts her body with the natural elements through video-performance and volume.
She occupies an interstice where she confronts humanity with its limits, where life drive and death drive become indistinguishable.
In a certain intimacy with nature, she experiences resistance and exhaustion.
She sails in a universe touching myths and rituals, in a will to reactivate them, to invent her own, as many manifestations of archaisms that persevere through the ages.
